SEVENTEEN Subunits Explained

SEVENTEEN has 13 members divided into three specialized subunits: Hip-Hop Unit, Vocal Unit, and Performance Unit. Each unit has its own leader and releases unit-specific songs alongside full-group music.

Hip-Hop Unit

Leader: S.Coups. Members: S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon. They handle the rap sections and co-produce many of SEVENTEEN's hip-hop tracks. Known for versatile flows and songwriting.

Vocal Unit

Leader: Woozi. Members: Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan, Woozi. The vocal powerhouse of the group. Woozi is also SEVENTEEN's main producer, having production credits on nearly all their songs. DK and Seungkwan are considered among K-pop's best vocalists.

Performance Unit

Leader: Hoshi. Members: Hoshi, Jun, The8, Dino. They lead the choreography and visual storytelling. Hoshi choreographs many of SEVENTEEN's performances. Their unit stages are known for artistic, contemporary dance-influenced performances.
